Poppy & Ellie

February has been a month of experimenting and researching my next project. I did however manage to finish my portrait of Poppy and Ellie; my brother's two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Sisters from the same litter, Poppy was born with a heart condition and was only expected to live for six months. At eighteen months Poppy was still running around and chasing the birds with her sister however on New Years Day her heart condition took her. She will be sadly missed by the whole family so I painted my favourite photo of both Poppy and Ellie as gift for them to remember her by.
